Cevert....which ones did you have?

Heatbuzz..... I would have to get the ok from my other son who lives in NYC to let the ole heirloom go......that I think would be the hardest part, he has plans for it I'm afraid.

But...if he doesn't, it would have to go to a good home.

TopBanana,

When is the boat show in Miami?

How cool would that be if my brother "the banana junkie" bought the masters original ride?

Either way, somebody pleeeeeease sell my brother their Banana Boat. I feel like we are all kids with really cool matching bicycles and my brother is sitting on the curb going, "man, I wish I had one so I could be cool too..."

Closest is my 24, which I still have....it had a single 350 / 280 TRS package.

The middle boat is my 33 (which was actually 34) that had twin 454 / 370 packages with TRS drives.

The boat on the outside is the top banana...the 38 foot race boat.
My favorite is that middle one, the 34.....Sweeet. So you have the 24, the 38 is in the shed at Port Edgewood, what happened to the 34?

How was the performance difference between the 34 and the 38?

Air Dog

You know, if we ever do end up back in the business and start making that 28....I bet we would have a lot of 24 trade ins for your brother to pick from.

the 34 was sold to a guy in Mass who owned a body shop...last we saw it, it was painted red with designs on the side.

The 34 ran mid 60's in just about any water...the 38 ran in the mid to high 90's in the right conditions. We averaged almost 88mph in a 205mile open ocen race back and forth over the Gulfstream.

Miami show...I will be down there Tuesday through Friday Feb 15th to 18th. Hope to meet some of the OSO and banana people......maybe they will give me the encouragement to dust off the old molds.

Then I'd have to pay for a subscription!
Sorry, I don't have a son like yours rummaging through my age-old files looking for sepia-toned photos. The last time I saw photos of my boats was when I last visited John & Sue Harmon and they showed me their scrapbook. My boats were always all-white w/o Cig decals and with my tricolore interior.
