Can't someone just get solid proof of all this stuff (or even just a couple things) and justice can be dealt out swiftly and we can move on?
There is no proof Bill, That's what make's it suck so much more.

I normally don't cut and paste from one site to the next. But it looks like your donation was made public, so it probably went to the charity.
Donna, stand by.....or do a little more research to figure it all out. You obviously haven't caught on to the clear pattern here. Ted posting that thank you to Brian doesn't mean a darn thing. Thanks for bringing it up (not really ). Alec Cloke wrote a check to the charity for $1000 after the Key West week.......he just didn't get any of the cash!!! That's just one more thing that we are finally figuring out. Ughhhh....

For the record I will say that my total involvement in that charity event was donating and holding the bucket for a bit. I simply was thanking Brian because he made a public donation in the name of AT that night . I have no idea what happened to the cash but IIRC Alec wrote a check for some amount to charity for the party also.

Sorry more cutting and pasting today, I found this on a diffrent thread that Alec started, this is from him, and if I know Alec, he probably added his own cash to the pot and either him or Chris sent the check,

Seriousoffshore.com would like to thank all those that participated in the Charitable portion of our 1st Anniversary Party.
With all of the revelry during the evening its a testament to the kind hearts out there that took time to sign the banner and make this donation a reality.

THANK YOU ALL

A cheque for $1,000.00 was forwarded to them today on behalf our partygoers.

Craig now I was typing as you were posting, if Alec did not get any of the cash, and sent a check out of his own account, IMHO this problem is bigger than the drawing. If that's the case how come this was not brought to light sooner.

Set aside about three hours and read all of the threads in the beware and stolen section here. I really don't care to rehash it all again......or you could give chris sunkin a call and get a "different version" of how he is the victim here and all of us good people who actually have boats are out to get him. It's up to you! LOL

I seriously doubt anyone would have let this embarrassment continue when they could have provided slam dunk proof and made his attackers look pretty silly. The only things posted thus far for the defense have been an altered bank statement, and a picture of a boat and truck that were not his.

When accusations involve one's character, especially in this type of community, the response should be swift and deafening. Although the character issues are pretty serious, all of the accusations could be quickly and soundly defeated by anyone that had the facts to do so.

Instead, pretty preposterous notions were served up by the defense that contained no substance, no validation, and most of the more serious things were not even addressed at all. In fact, I've seen nothing anyone that refutes any of the accusations. Quite remarkable given the number of threads and the vast number of posts.

Dontcha think?

Sorry but I don't have time to search other threads before making a comment on this thread, perhaps you could help others like me that are low on time and merge all the threads together if you feel they would make more sense.

This is the first time since 11-2009 I have thought of or saw mention of the Key West party donation. Since I was there and contributed just a little, I am now currious about the donation and money trail. I decided to phone the South Florida Chapter Location of MAW, there are two locations one in FLauderdale and one in Bonita, and they work off the same datat base. I spoke to the gal that records the donations and she was very nice and will verify a donation with no problem. I found that in Oct. Chris Sunkin under his own name and address donated $500.00 for a bike, for a kid named Mike Copper. That was the only donation they had from him and there was no record of Serious Offshore on their books ever making a donation. She also said they cross reference business and organization names with personal names. I could not inquire about Alec since I do not know his last name. So unless Alec or someone else received money from Chris and then sent it on their own personal check it would appear that the Make a Wish of South Florida has no donation from SOS

I'm sorry Donna, but none of us can log into SOS anymore. Our passwords (as well as many other people's) were changed so private messages could be read. You'll have to do that yourself.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you are a little late on this one. It's been an embarrassing mess that I have tried to stay out of except when my credibility has been questioned. I'm not interested in being the one who kicks the hornets nest this week. I would suggest that you read the threads before grabbing a machine gun and shooting in all directions.

With respect,
Craig
