Check the classifieds for new lowered price on my SC430. Price now includes the Myco trailer as well as lower on the boat for a savings of $17K. Joe Murray

I took a peek at the pictures, that thing is a beauty. It looks real clean and very new. They must have changed the cabin the year you bought your boat, ours is one year older and did not have the wood interier.

I wish you well with the sale

Thanks, Donna. I have not had a single call on my BT yet. I hope after boating season and the boat shows I will get some activity. I have bought and sold boats and parts very successfully of this site in the past so we will see. 97 was the first year for wood interior and stepped hull. I think Ian bought my Gil exhaust for his Scarab a few years back. Joe Murray

I think activity is slow all around and I am sure gas prices are not helping, But for the money you are asking that is a lot of boat and amenities. Did you guys choose the interior colors it looks real classy, I can not believe it is an 87! We had a chance to ride on a new 47 fountain, and they were trying to compare it to the BT for space, well it was roomy but almost no storage, the bed did not lift up and if I recall neither did the interior benches, and of course no side lockers. I don't know how much overnighting you do, but I wind up using every inch of our storage. Hopefully we get to overnight tomorrow, they are going for the record of boats rafted together but the weather does not look good, if it is not raining we plan to be part of the 2000 boats tied together
and then spend the night in a large metro park with a marina

We keep the boat @ Lake Cumberland, KY, which is about 3 hours one way. Next year I am going to move it to Old Hickory Lake, TN which is about 45 min away. We bought the boat used in 2000 and I re-rigged the engines, transmissions, drives, dash, new refrigerator, added hot water and an endless list of stuff. As we get nearer to retirement my wife would like to travel more and she will not ride with me when I tow the BT as she has some Idiot Idea that it is illegal width and we will be arrested in some Podunk town.Who knows what her rational is. If it does not sell I want to bring it to Chicago Poker Run next year because it is next to the casino and that would probably entice her if I let her fly up and back. We'll see. Joe Murray

We tow everywhere ( I ride shotgun) and have never been stopped or even looked at funny. I don't know of any Black Thunders that have had problems. We kept our last boat in a well, and went to the same place weekend after weekend & that got old. This is great because we go some place different most weekends. We are lucky because we have a lot of choices within an hour to 3 hrs, the longest we have towed so far is Chicago which is about 5 hrs. We could pick a different destination each weekend during the summer and never go to the same place twice, and the best part is that there is pretty good shopping at each harbor town If all goes well we are thinking of towing to FL this winter and I know several other BT's that will be doing the same. We plan on doing the Chicago run again next year. Tell you wife to relax, she is missing out on some good times. That boat is just to nice to sell, something tells me at the price you are willing to sell out you will not even break even.

techinically, if your boat is wider than 8'6" you need an oversize permit... aren't BT 9'6"?

they won't arrest you, but they might shut you down where you are... don't ask me how i know....

depending on the state, you can't tow a oversized load after dark either...

yes Sean your are correct on the width of the beam, and yes it would be condidered wide load, so that is why I am sure his wife is leary. I am speaking from my experience and others with BT's, have you had a problem towing any Vbottoms or just the Cats you are usually dragging all over the country

Man that's a lot of boat. I'm not worried about the width. But, would my truck pull it.

Joe it is a great deal. What does she weigh with that trailer?

Thanks,

Brent
