Biscayne Bay
I'm probably going to be moving to Miami in the next year and will be living in an apartment on the island on JFK causeway. What is the traffic on the Bay like and is there a good presence of Game Wardens and other water capable LEO's to take care of the knuckleheads? Thank you.

Weekend traffic on S Biscayne Bay can get crowded...lots of boats head south to Elliotts Key on the weekend so there will be plenty of cruiser wakes to contend with. If you get up early you'll find the Bay will usually lay down flat and can see lots of wildlife...sea turtles, nurse sharks, rays, flying fish, dolphin, etc. As the NE seabreeze picks up in the afternoon, south Biscayne Bay can get down right snotty with surface chop and boat traffic. During weekdays it's a pleasure to run...no boat traffic or speed limits! Cruising the upper key channels are beautiful....Ceasars Creek, Anglefish Creek, the pass between Elliotts Key and Sands Key, etc....tons of great snorkling/diving!! Enjoy!!

Just got back from a week there. Love it. We did have 8-10 Border Patrol/Customs agents waiting for us at Haulover when we pulled out. We came in through Goverment Cut. They were very polite and just doing their jobs.

Best Miami Water Front Restaurants with docks
My wife and I will be staying in Miami Beach June 11th - 13th after a cruise and would love to check out the local watering holes where the high performance boats hang out, can anyone point us in the right direction? I'm thinking Sunday (the 12th) should be a great day to see some awesome boats.
