all depends on how you are going to drive it. the original owner ordered the boat to his liking. he didn't need it for how he used the boat. it's easy enough to upgrade if one wants to. thanks

yes I did purchase it from Bob. he deserves all of the credit for keeping it in new condition. I've only put 10 hrs on the boat. it was like striking oil when I found it. hard to find used boats that were actually taken care of. this thing was his baby and was polished and maintained a lot more than it was used. he just seamed like that kind of guy with everything he owns. thanks for the compliments Maritime.

Beautiful Checkmate BUT what on earth were they thinking with that dash?? Almost all of the gauges are covered up by the steering wheel! Poor design IMO.

between the angle of the shot and the wheel being tilted up in my photo the lower gauges are covered by the wheel. for your reference PB here is a picture of what you would see at the helm with the wheel in a comfortable position. (not my boat in lower pic) no trouble seeing the gauges

Im still not a fan of the layout. The switch placement is poor too. Ive seen thousands of dash's over the years I just think Checkmate could have done a better job.
