Bought a 1989 251 Concvincor in April. It has the 454, 330HP engine. What grade oil should I be using, and how many quarts?
Also, my Bravo drive has material cracking off between the nose cone and the prop.. I'm assuming it's the materail used to blend the cone onto the drive. What material is it???
Thanks,
In-The-Red

In the 330 I think the Merc 25w40 oil would be best. If you live in a warm climate straight 40wt would be fine too.
That "filler" is used to blend the nose cone to the drive, as you already know. Marine-Tex works good. You can get it at West Marine.
