Default Vision top speeds

is 90+ possible with 600 hp or does the hull begin to lay down in the 80s...

boat previously ran 78-82 with a mild 496 but needed better steering so redoing the setup and looking to get past the 80's SAFELY.... is the hull capable or does it have a danger will robinson area before you get into the 90's??

You might want to jump over to the Checkmate Forums at checkmate-boats.com. Sammy (Viper 1) who used to own Action Marine built a seriously fast one with twin turbo BBC and SSM drive that ran supposedly to 130's. Wicked setup for sure. He could tell you all you want to know, just take note typing and computers isn't his forte haha, great old school guy though. Wealth of knowledge on Check's over there albeit not much activity on the board as of late. Jason Kunkel at Kunkel's marine has also dealt with making several fast.

so with a 2" shorty imco lower, good steering, a HD gimbal ring and a bravo XR upper the boat should be basically turn key reliable for approx 600-650 hp and upper 80's or 90 without to much hassle and expense on an expected annual basis with less than 50 hrs a year of use

old post, but what prop were you using? I’ve got a 500-550hp vision with a 26p 4 blade and can’t get past 73-75mph or 4900rpm
