hydraulic steering
A while ago I asked if anyone has added full hydraulic steering to a '99 259 Convincor. It seems that nobody who had responded to my thread had done it. I told you guys that I was going to give it a shot and I would post any results.
Well, today I had the time to give it a try. Believe it or not, I was able to get the whole job done in 1 day. The part that was my biggest concern was having enough room to mount the hydraulic helm through that little fuse access hole that Checkmates have. I am pleased to say that it was no problem at all. It is a little tight to work in there, but it can be done. I used Imcos' system with their tilt helm. It looks completely original from the outside. It fit like a glove. I was even able to use my original wheel.
Anyone interested in the stock helm, cable and control valve, I have them for sale.....

The wheel is just about in the same place as it was. I should have measured it before I took it apart, but I didn't. The tilt helm feels and looks just like the original unit.
What do you mean by "that plus a shorter lower cause i think mine is too low! "
