Looks great!! I don't mean to be critical, but I was wondering why you re-covered the access holes you cut next to the stringers? What if the nuts loosen up?

We'll, I use a good marine adhesive/caulk on the back of the mounts, the back of the backing plates, and in the holes going thru.
Used nylocks, and caulked the threads as well as the ends of the bolts after they where tite.
I figure that if they do loosen up, I'll cut for 4" or 6" round deck plates.
Thought about covering the holes with some stainless diamond plate. It would look like there where steps.
It's now April 30, and i want to get this done for summer.
Glassing over the holes was quickest. Material in stock.

Went to the outside of the transom and finished up there.
Fixed all the holes there that I didn't need or am relocating.
I've got about 2' of space behind the the boat to work so I didn't take any before pics.
pulled the boat out to get some after.
Leveled everything out and re-gelcoated all the patches.
Mixed color from white base and added tints to match.
Looks real good for first time mixing gel.
If you didn't know where to look, you can't see fixed areas
In this pic just the transom assembly is in.
Finished the steering rams, trim tabs, thru hull fittings and tie down hooks tonight. Will post next time I pull boat forward.

Outside transom
Still have to finish steering hoses.
Haven't decided what i'm going to do with the trim tab hoses.
I don't want to use the old covers that goes over the hose. Will probably get a couple thru hulls for them.

Inside Transom
Moved the trim tab motor over to make room for the steering fittings. Still have exhaust holes to cut . But that will wait until the engine is in place.
