I had 565hp in my 97 checkmate 253 convincor. I had a labbed 26p hydromotive that turned 5400. I also had a stock 27 Hydromotive that turned 5000. I never got a chance to lab the 27, but i think that would have been my best performer.
Both props gave me a good cruise and a top speed of 77 all day, and 80.9 on it's best day.

Shah Mat, not sure which thread you will see first but. I was running a 24 pitch 3 blade on my 468 ( not sure of the HP ) I had tried Hydromotive 4 blades as they seem to help the boats handling, they eliminated the chine walk I was having. Now I have a 572 (650HP) we were using a 25 pitch 4 Blade hydro, but we blew a rod threw the side of the pan, o'well. I had figured on going to a 27 pitch if all worked out. Maybe next year.
Good Luck. What year checkmate do you have?

I know you two have seen it on the other thread, but here it is again.

It's an 89 Convincor GTX 25'. I bought it from Sec Agent Man on this board if that rings a bell. He had huge monster power numbers and from what I heard, very close to triple digits.
It has the deluxe cabin which I love, there's nothing better than camping on the water for several days on a go-fast boat.
I too "vented" the pan in my small block. No warning either. (Stock Rods, gee I wonder why
) )This swap project was on the choppping block, just not 4th of July weekend.
Where is the best place to price a Hydro?

I'm currently running a 24" hydro QIV on my 90 251 gtx. 502/435hp . Prop is still in stock form and it's running 5100rpm @ 65 on GPS. In flat water. We are going to reduce diameter and do a lab finish as soon as I get a chance. Talk to Todd at Hydromotive, he'll hook you up.
