ha ha stealing threads. We are actually looking for a stinger. Was looking at a scarab...but are partial to the stinger, preferably a 39 footer...got a 21 ft checkmate and its a rocket...not too much can beat it. I shaved off the zinc anode to fit a bigger prop...yeeehaaaa But now we need something with some accomodations. Gonna keep the checkmate, heck I redid the entire core, stringers and floor...

Dave:
I thought you were buying my 39' Stinger? What happened to you? I spent an awful lot of time dealing with you on the boat and seemingly for nothing since I haven't heard anything concrete from you.

Fund-
I spent too much time and effort dealing with people who are "serious" buyers. They never seem to be serious when the topic of dollars comes up, robbing Peter to pay Paul and then defaulting on Paul to pay Peter back and so forth. Good luck selling yours, and if someone wants a good deal on a 39' project, send them my way!

It's a pain on the internet. Everybody hedging their bet.
I've never had trouble selling anything in person. Cars, boats, motorcycles. When the guy can look it over, and ask you about it, and you can evaluate him at the same time... it easier for everybody.
And it rules out everybody who hasn't seen the toy in person.
I was getting too many people who were doing the old dating trick of asking every girl and getting lucky 5% of the time. They offer every seller out there the cheap offer and occasionally find someone desperate.
It's not like that in a local sale. I'll sell mine in the summer, on the water if I want to sell it. It will be a known quantity for some local and it will go.
It is one the nicest looking stingers ever made.
Even though Dave can outrun it.

I used the analogy of turning a miniscule project boat sale into the purchase of Trump Tower. The incessant ridiculous questions, does it have a swim platform, what type of stove is in the galley, etc. We are performance boaters, and we are a special breed - we do not ask questions such as the ones listed above. Anyway, I'm going to go off on a rant here . . .
