New 496,(Built 454)Dart pro 1 heads, factory exhaust, 23 mirage plus ,right at 5,000 rpm. We have been doing some talking and we think the carbs are to small. The motors should turn more rpm. What are you running?? What mph??

stock hp420 21p mirage 5200 rpm 56 to 60 mph depending on fuel load and wifes goodies(amazing how much stuff they need for an overnight) @ 4000ft elevation original owner 120 hrs.
how many cc are your dart heads any port work? what brand 4.25 crank did you use? stock cams?stock intake? what kind of speed at 3500 to 3800 and @ wot. i ask this because we are thinking of upgrading and adding mufflers

Were running dart pro 1 alm heads 116 cc I think. Eagle rods and crank comp hydrolic roller pump gas. MSD dist. Demon 750s cruises at 3900 40 mph only runs up to 60- 62 wot. 5000 rpm seems low on rpm Were working on that
