You'll probably need an electronic copy of the Mercuiser Manual first and foremost. If you'd like, I'll burn a copy of mine to CD and put it in the mail for you?
I just obtained a mint 1987 Chris Craft Range Brochure but unfortunately it doesn't have the Fittipaldi Stinger for 1988. I think they were a specially advertised and ordered through dealers job anyway.
I don't know if these boats actually came with an owners manual. I think mine probably came with a peice of paper that said,
"Park boat near water, remove wallet from pocket, empty contents onto ground and burn."
Good luck mate, be sure to post some pics when you get the chance, we all live vicariously through one anothers adventures in nautical expense on here!

Hey Ghostrider, that would be awesome to get that Mercruiser manual and very nice of you to offer it! Way too true about the wallet and burning money thing, too! The boat is currently up on blocks in a field down from my home (wife doesn't know I bought it). The motors are new with only 2 hours on them and one of the Bravo OD's is new but I wanted to kinda go over it all before throwing it in the lake. I am going to port it on Lake Ontario when it is done and will post some "before" pics soon. It is in pretty decent shape overall but does have some scars and stress cracks. I need to decide whether to paint it or try to restore the gelcoat.

The motors are new with only 2 hours on them and one of the Alpha OD's is new but I wanted to kinda go over it all before throwing it in the lake. Send me a PM or email me at jkronayne 'at' bigpond 'dot' com with your mailing address and I'll send a copy up to you.
That part about the wife not knowing made me laugh! I told my wife that part and she said if I had tried that, she would have killed me! You should have seen the look on her face when I brought mine home! I took pictures of her and the boat! She wasn't happy!
This whole spending thing never really ends does it?!?

The Fittipaldi Edition is a 312 Stinger released in 1988. T- OMC was standard or optional was T- Merc 330 or 365 with Bravo!! In 89 CC reintroduced The Fittipaldi Edition in a 334 Stinger which replaced the 312 and was a smaller version(replica) of the 375/385 Stinger introduced in 88 and 89 all with several engine options but OMC being standard due to CC filing bankruptcy in 87 and losing their contract with Merc as being standard😩Not sure how many 334 were built(more less Fittipaldi Edition in this version except for the brochure one)Im assuming few for I have never seen one and unfortunately CC was very limited on Stinger production in 89for it was the last yr for The Stinger series and it was a preorder/prepay to get one! The end of a great classic and era of powerboat!!😢

The 312 Stinger along with The Fittipaldi Edition never came factory with 502s! Fact!! If had the 502 they were replaced!! The biggest hp available at the time from factory was the 454 Magnum 365hp!!

I think they made more than 10 in 88. And all the ones I've seen had 454's or 502's in them. There is still one in Maryland that looks good on line. Askin price was 36k. Looked at one here in town a while back, plus the one at Lakeside. That boat has been there a while. Not many around though thats for sure, be a croud pleaser in good shape.
