Default Stinger 260 questions

Hey, I find myself considering to buy a late eighties 260 Stinger. It has a pair of 5.7's. Is there some known problem areas I should look out for, systems, structure etc? Most likely, I will NOT be able to run the boat in the water. Only on the hose.
Thanks in advance!

Look at the usual for each boat! Transom stringer and bulkhead behind fuel tank

When i had mine there was a crack in gelcoat on the deck, close to windshield, on port side, about 1 inche long right in the beginning of the highest part of the deck where the hatch is... nice heavy boats, big for a 26. Not very fast but reliable with 350's ! Post pictures!

How do the values compare to NADA? I've seen several different "asking" prices for boats in varying condition. But, what would a decent "turn key" boat value out at?

Depends on condition!! My guess is anywhere between ... 10-12k and... 20 k? Sold mine 10 years ago brand new refreshed engines for 35 k!

I just read the hull issues. Will go inspect his. It does have the OMC's and 5.7's. The price to me is extremely good. Theo G.

Hull issues being the tabbing cracks and bulkhead fuel cell cracks I read about on these forums. Also blistering. Murray industries bad hull work.
