Re: My favorite tiger
We stopped at Phils to see if he had any Top Guns for sale and he told me about a customer that had one for sale that had just bought a Tiger from him. He lived in Monroe Michigan which is about 4 hour from my home. I called him that evening from Ft Lauderdale airport and the next day I went to see it. After looking at it he went over a couple spots in the barn and took the cover off his new boat that was in a rack and it was that Tiger. It was really was beautiful. I saw it again when he ran it in Smoke On The Water P/R.
The T/G in the attachment is the one I looked at. I loved the boat and it needed power, I thought he said he put the motors from the T/G in the Tiger but not sure now. The drives were still in the crates from TNT, new aluminum trailer and it needed some fixing up but exactly what I was looking for. I was working on putting some figures together of what I was going to spend on it and when I called to tell him I was going to take it Phil had sold it the day before. It went somewhere out west I think Phil. It's still on his web site as being sold.
You know the saying, When you snooze you loose.

Re: My favorite tiger
It was definately arson.......through the grape vine I heard it was some homeless guy hi on drugs and alcohol. I asked Cecil (the owner of the boat) about it and he was not trying to hear anything about the boat.
The issue now is who's going to pay for it. At the time the boat was in a boat yard and they initially offered to cover it untill the found out the value of the boat. Not sure where there are at now.
It was raining today so I couldn't get to take any pics of the boat...I'll try tomorrow.
