I read something about it in Pokerruns America. I believe Cig is making a new 38 that has a new (different) deck and hull than the previous 38's. I'll get the article out and confirm.

It doesnt stand for anything. Its just a different designation to identify the newer model. Plus,they probably like the sound of it.
