well i will tell you that OUR 28 ran in 3 to 5 like a breeze. i don't have to prove it or anything i'm just giving you the facts. hey Rob defend me against this guy .

It looked like you were saying it to me since you had my post in quotes, but pardon the misunderstanding.
Now the Donz knows I have shown him no particular favoritism the last few months, here on the boards, but anyguy who's winning race championships has my vote for :
1) having a brass set of balls, no doubt bigger then mine
2) not being afraid to stay in the sticks when other just regular race drivers won't stay in it,
3) probably knows what 3'-5' is all about, and then some.
I'll give him that, and I don't even want a signed picture, (and his report of low 70s pretty much talked me out of the boat.)
Now the Donz knows I have shown him no particular favoritism the last few months, here on the boards, but anyguy who's winning race championships has my vote for :
1) having a brass set of balls, no doubt bigger then mine
2) not being afraid to stay in the sticks when other just regular race drivers won't stay in it,
3) probably knows what 3'-5' is all about, and then some.
I'll give him that, and I don't even want a signed picture, (and his report of low 70s pretty much talked me out of the boat.)

i asked stoker about beefin up the old v8s, said could get reliable true 375 on pump....i guess at the prop...that boat would run prett nicely wit that setup

The only problem is, that is a hypothetical conversation, because Al isn't currently doing any port work, and doesn't know when he will be.

Assuming the boat was originally set up for twin SBCs, how much stringer conversion would be necessary to convert over to a single BBC and bravo?

The 300's were notorious for leaning out and burning pistone. Mostly attribituble to to small fuel lines, the easiest way to avoid this issue was to run dual fuel lines to it..
Had a bud with a 28 OF with twin Mercs. It ran pretty good, was fairly well balanced. If this boat you are looking at was done properly, weight moved around to compensate for the big engines hanging 32" off the back (Hmm, they are on brackets right?) then it should be a runner...
