Tiger with big power performance???'s
Since GL hasn't been posting much about his new ride, I'm curious as to how a straight bottom tiger with say 900's and 6's performs. I know that they are a wave crusher, but what type of speed are they seeing. High 90's, low 90's??? I'm kinda getting the bug for an older straight tiger again with big power

Cowisl was present so were a lot of other local friends....
My guess is it has one or two miles per hour more left in it at ideal condition without messing with boost or getting $7.50/Gallon gas.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, thats what I was looking for. GL, when are you going to get some video online so we can drool over the sound and tail of your new rig
The boat that I am interested in is a 2000 with merc 900's. I am assuming it should be pretty comparable to the numbers you guys are seeing.
thanks
Corey

I have two friends with straight bottom Tigers w/6's. One has Teague 1000's and ran 94-95 but he was turning the props out and was under propped (banging the rev limiters).
Other one is Kenny's. 900 Mercs with 6's props in hitting 98/99 on gps. Props in makes a big difference but the boat flies bow up and is tricky around the docks.

you could probably get a mph or two by blueprinting the bottom. I'm going to have art lilly look at mine just to see how straight it is. I think our hulls are much like the Apache 41's, they arent the fastest but offer an excellent ride quality in the super rough, and once you get it aerated some it can hold a decent speed. I was hitting 73 with 500 efi's xr's and with 600ish hoping to hit 79-80.

Kenny will never admit to that by the way
