Default 3 vs. 4 blade

I was at the factory last month and I asked Tim whats was up with the design of the cafe - I just can't find the sweet spot with my 25P mirages, I can't get the bow up enough and keep the drives in the water.

He said 3 blade are not the setup on a Cafe - no Stern lift and to put some 4 bravos on it. I am running 572 EFI Gellners w/675 HP. I am way under propped with that kind of power and can blow them out up to 4500 RPM. I sure would like to get rid of my props and try some 28 Bravos. If anyone want to trade let me know

Keep me posted on the project and let me know if you need co-pilot

I'm the guy who owns the shop working on Lukes cig. Luke still owns the boat and loves it and with the shorter drives we are up to 83 mph and still tuning to get a little more.

I've always run four blades on my cafe. But my best top speed came with a set of three blades. Hows your cafe do with th 675hp?

Kramer

I have to lean it out a tad, running 573 C.I. 4.565 X 4.375 . I have AZSM throttle bodies and 50lbs injectors running 525 EFI fuel mgt. My starboard motor was rebuilt by Gellner and the other one is going in the shop soon. I am hoping for 79MPH and 80 in perfect conditions. I did see 75 last time out, but the motors/props are way off. Keep me posted on the shorties. I would think you could run your 4 blades but never 3 with that setup. My Cafe needs its ass out of the water big time and You still got me on looks!

Are you running 27 or 26 props - I am shooting for 28's, then I think that all a cafe is worth based on engine/ROI
