When Don first started Cigarette, it was mainly a race shop and it slowly began to build production boats too. He was making about 2 boats a month and someone asked him if he was worried because the production numbers were so low.....his answer, is the same that guides Michael's decision on the number of these models he will release each year.
Don said..." I don't care how many boats we sell as long as the people who buy our boats know that they are buying the very best boat that can be made."
When Michael commissioned these models to be made, he approached it with the same attention to detail.
You have to remember that the first test run done of the actual race boat, The Cigarette, was Don and Knocky and Michael....he knows this boat and what is authentic and should be on it....this is not some company making up a model from a photo.
As for lesser priced items, we have plans for a clothing line of Aronow t-shirts, jackets and hats and the other usual items.....all designs to be approved by Michael and then released to the public.
There may even be a RC version of this boat at some time in the future.....that certainly will be of a lesser price.
Numbers 22 and 17 have now been taken as of this time also.

They are being made in NY. Michael found a very experienced model maker who was willing to take on the task.
Each boat is individually hand built by this man. Another reason why the total number per year is so low.
The stand the boat rests on is done by a local marine woodworking company.
