Default Cafe fuel tank crossover location

'86 Cafe, the manual says there is a crossover valve if you run 1 tank empty you turn the valve and both motors can run off the other tank... I've looked and looked and can't find it in the access plates in the engine compartment, an I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks

Mine are on the inlets to the water seperator/fuel filters. Each line has a little gate valve you can open and close. There is also a crossover line between the 2 filters.
