Default Top Gun Speed

Just got my new (to me ) Top Gun Home and was suprised at the test . In fact I am going to do it again today because I was not expecting the speeds.

1998 Top Gun FULL CABIN
Non Step
4 people
1/3 fuel in both tanks
Twin Merc. 600SC's (rebuilt by Innovation 647 H.P. Each)
68 degrees
Light chop

Garmin GPS says 72.4 knots = 83.2 MPH

Really thought I would be in the mid 70's !!!

Sounds about right to me too.

Fill the tanks and raise the temp to 95 and humuidity in the 80% range and you'll be high 70's to 80.

Motors love that dense air!!! Sounds like you are enjoying the ride. Congrats!

Maybe we should have a poll on this to decide.....but I think that you should put some $$$ in an escrow account now. Those Bravos won't last!!!!!!!!!

Props 28

RPM was at 5200

Xr's are next and the boost on the SC's goes up a little, then I sell it at the end of the season and buy Fred's Tiger
