Ok, here is a Lipship/Zul boat for 305K with low hours:

Thats a 38 not a 39. They were probably around the same price new by ones a upgraded 38 and ones a 39 and both are 2005's. Both are good deals and boats.

I know the 38/39 difference but was a Lip Ship 38 with Zul 650's the same price as a stock 525 TGU? I always thought of a Lipship boat like an AMG Mercedes (as in big upgrade over stock).

That was the first year of the 39 as well so the price was pretty high. I'm sure the 38 was a little more money but not alot. A Lip-Ship boat is just a Cigarette bought from Lip-Ship Performance which is a dealer. He does do some upgrades but nothing you cant have done by the factory through another dealer.

Lip-Ship boats are among the best boats Cigarette puts out. Because Phil is so close to the factory and extremely fussy, he is there watching every detail very closely resulting in a better build from the factory. Also, Phil should be on the Cig R+D team, because alot of his upgrades make it into regular Cigarette production. Also, alot of Phil's boats have higher X-dimensions and lighter layups. Whether you like it or not, no dealer builds a better Cigarette than Phil. He is behind alot of the positive changes that you see on the new boats and a pioneer in the business.

You are right on many points. I'm not doubting Phils ability, we did buy our Gladiator from him. He does have the advantage that he is very close to the factory and can oversee a build and has alot of input into Cigarette about features and such. But I could also go to the other dealer and get a light layup boat with a higher x-dimension couldn't I?? Phil does build a great boat and ours represents that fully.

Does every dealer have such a tight relationship w/ ZUL?
Being in the NE, he's one of the best/biggest name in the area.
Phil does alot of custom touches after he gets the boat too.
As far as I understand, he's just not a dealer.
