Second question to Gladiator owners.
What props are you running and how are they working?

Were running 4 blade 34 labbed bravos. The boat seems to have no midrange speed. I think its like only low 60's at 4000rpm. The best top end we've seen in perfect conditions was 92.8 at the end off last year. It usually runs 90-91 if you hold it long enough at 5300,5350 rpm's. Its a 525 boat. It would be good to see how the new throttle up props work on the Glads since Joe seems tp have had great luck with them on his 39.

Fountain40icbm- Isn't your boat very hard to get on plane with the 34,s?

I want to do that, but they want you to purchase/ committ to a set first. I do have a set of 5 blade maximus coming to try out. My 6 blade Herings are real nice, but I always wondered if a 5 blade would be better. I think the 6 blade could be providing just a touch too much of stern lift. There was a 525 Glad in Miami with 5 blade Herings that went 95.

On gps with Phil to verify it. Even Phil was suprised! The Six blades are very nice. The boat gets on plane alot better than the 34,s and cruises nice. Acceleration is excellent and the boat tops out at 90-91. I can stay on plane as low at 30 mph if I need to. I always wanted to try a 5 blade to see if there would be any improvement in ride as well as an increase in speed.

...best $$$ I ever spent on an "upgrade". Throttle-up has done AMAZING WORK on my boat (as well as everyone else's I know). It is not only faster, but the new attitude and "set" of the boat (both in the water and flyin') as second to none!
So, I beg the question... why wouldn't you buy a set? Matt and Julie stand behind their word (which EVERYONE whom has tried their props can attest).
Buck-up and represent... You're drivin' a Ciggarette! haha.
Seriously, Paul... just giving you a hard time (and trying to push you a bit thru your hesitation!).
All the best,
Joe

pm 203 is right, the 6 blade herrings are great!, very easy to plane, midrange accelleration is unbelievable, my best top end so far is 108 gps (still need more seat time to get comfortable), the herrings do have more stern lift than 4 blade bravos, my boat does not have a firm set in tight turns with the 6 blades.

I would love to try some of their props. While you have had great results, they are still a relatively new prop. And, I find it hard to purchase a set of props not knowing if they are the best application for my boat. Julie has a set for me to try, but wants an order first. I tried some Maximus,s today and I think (for my application) a 5 blade is the way to go...... Call Julie, use your pull and get me a set to try. Surely, a man of your stature, plus being the the fastest 600 Gun out there should give you the power and ability to make it happen.
Thanks,
Paul
