This was indeed the old 35' cigarette Ajac Hawk, which was originally Joe Ippolito's Michelob Light. After racing the 35' footer for one year (Jerry had a choice between purchasing the 35' hull that later became 'Mighty Mouse' or Michelob Light - he chose the latter because of a better finishing record) he had Cigarette put a block into a 39' mold to create the 37.6 footer. AFAIK, it was the *only* 37.6 footer that had the beveled deck from the wide beam 36'. Jerry preferred that deck to the flat-style of the 35' or the 'split level' of the 39'
