No need to spend crazy $$$ either. Here's my 'ol Ford (Tank's favorite tow vehicle) Been working like a champ since 1997! And a hell of a lot more reliable then my Duramax.

I'm in the same position right now, too. Need to find a tow vehicle for my Cig and i just can't decide what to go with. I've always owned Chevys or GMC's and have been looking at Duramax diesels....2500 and 3500HD's, crew cabs etc....Just can't decide and I only want to spend about 25k. Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated. I've read most of the Ford vs Chevy threads and there seems to be mixied opinions of both....tough decision but I really like the interior of the GM vehicles a lot better.

I also like the interior of the Chevy better but the Ford has more room and rides better ( Fabtech lift and 37" tires helped a lot)
I think the Chevy has more power and got better mileage

I have towed my Playboy with both Chevy and Fords and i can tell you that they both did fine. I havent had a single issue with my 05 Ford f350 but i know of a couple people that have, but the same goes for the Chevys. The 08 F450 has had a few minor issues

If you are only going to tow it a few times, find a guy with a nice truck and give him a few bucks to tow it for you. With gas prices that high I wouldn't want any truck you have listed there, even if its not your daily driver.
