Back to the topic,
If both boats are comparable in appearance and both pass a marine survey, I would go for the Gun. More boat and better hardware. #3 drive is pretty bulletproof.

I would probably agree - if nothing else resale should be slightly better with that power, and that boat.

I looked at both of those boats also, 2 years ago, they are worth every peeny @ 80K.. I have been getting alot of calls labout those boats being for sale and why am I so high ... I tell them to go look at the boat, there was a reason they were for sale for 2+ years

I am going to step up to a gun in the near future and have heard they can be tough on drives. Is that true or is it more on the Driver actions. leaning toward 500 or 525s nothing to crazy. I have over 650 hours on the outlaw and have not had any drive problems. Just curious.

Full cabin Gun is a heavy boat. A captain that isn't very prudent with the sticks can cause problems (wave jumping or holeshots). A captain that continues adding horsepower can cause a problem. Also, some older Guns came with standard Bravo 1's (not XR) - that's another issue. Depends on what year model you're looking at. If it's a newer TS TG with a half cabin, some of the weight and drag issues are remedied.
