Top Gun Question
In the years of Top Guns Models: Did the stand-in height ever change? Seems like in older pictures guys are up in them more and the engines seem to be up more as well. Did they make the side taller? Thanks

Not that i have ever heard of.
Engine placement changes and height could have changed depending on drive options and whether or not they have transmissions.

I am not aware of any changes either.

The old windshield / fairing used to come down to the gunnel before the driver's seat. After the drivers seat the gunnel is flat. The new ones have a much less aggressive angle and swoop all the way to the back hatch area, so the whole gunnel is at an angle up to the hatch. when it hits the hatch it gets higher again then goes flat.
So, it gives the effect that the old boats had the engines mounted higher because the engine room is shorter. The people look like they are lower because the top of the boat is a bit higher.
