Sure don't. Pull the old one out and measure it....but don't forget to attach a pull string to it. That'll make it much easier to get the new one in!

The old one will have the inches marked near both ends of the cable. You can also get a threaded connector sleeve, screw it to the end of the old cable and then screw the new cable into it. Pull on the old one and it will bring the new one home. You can also tape the ends together but that will get stuck once in a while if they pulled the cable wraps too tight
