Default stereo upgrade

Could you share your components list?

I am looking to upgrade an uninspired Alpine Cd player head and want a IPOD jack, amp, sub woffer and possibly woffer amp for an 88 Bullet. Suggestions are welcome. I am handy at wiring and do not want a high dollar systme. I want a solid, reasonable system. I will add a Tiger intercom later.

im using an alpine 9886m cd/ipod head unit, alpine pdx amps (non marine), polk coaxs & adding jl audio subs.

You can get the 5ch pdx relatively cheap to power 4 speakers & a sub. just search ebay.

The system was already in the boat when I bought it, all Eclipse stuff, really good system. I just didn't like that it had a separate head unit and DVD player and no iPod dock.

So i decided to upgrade the head unit to the MBQuart WM1-DVD and I got it at Baily's Wholesale http://www.baileyswholesale.com They had the best price I could find. The iPod dock hooks in seamlessly and the whole package, including a wired remote was under $500, If I remember correctly.

The rest of the system consists of 8 6.5" Eclipse speakers (6 in cockpit and 2 in cabin) and 2 subs under rear bench in enclosures, can't remember if they're 10's or 12's. Then 4 amps, 1 to each sub then the other two running two pairs each of the 6.5".
