'87 Kevlar Gun prop question
Need a starting point on prop selection. Currently running 16.5 x 28 three blade on 3a (big shaft). Cruise speed kinda sucks. Engines are 598s making 785 each. Any suggestions? Thanks,Bob

I had a 1984 flatdeck with PSI supercharged 572's running 1.5:1 ratio, #3A drives. I ran 18x30 4bbl's for the longest time and then switched to a set of 18x30 5bbl's.
In my opinion, you need more diameter and either 4 or 5 bbl's.

I only used the 5bbl's once and then sold the boat. I'm sorry that I don't have more info. to give you. The boat was a side-by-side on 35" centers and I was turning the props outward.
