Default 1991 38 cig, how much, how fast

What is a good buying price for a 1991 38 top gun with 525s (don't know how many hours) and #3 speedmasters, boat is very clean, just painted, new gauges, new cockpit etc. The only dated thing I can see it the cabin int. no trailer

Oh yeh, the engines need to be gone through and put in the boat, i can make them any HP I need to.

What speeds can I expect

Thanks

Randy Wild

After looking at many Top Guns last winter, I`d guess the speed to be 72 mph and a decent price of around 90-95k with fresh motors installed.

My TG with 750 Hawks runs 82 mph.

Good luck, Kurt.

There is one locally that is a '93 that runs in the low 80's. It's for sale - I think you could get it for around $100K. Pictures are at Martin Marine's web site

http://www.martinoffshore.com/crt.htm

It's the 4th one down.

There is a sharp looking 38 i think it is a 91 down at loto at a brokers. at the corner of hwy54 and business 54 looks to be in good condition im not sure about power or $$. if your looking for one it would be worth the trip down.

The 38 that Later is talking about is a 94 with I beleive 650 per side. They may be 750, but I think the guy said 650. They are asking 125 for it. I beleive that Black Thunder owns the boat. It was traded in on a new 46 BT. I think it may need some work, some of the stiching was coming out on the hatch, but overall the boat is in good condition.

JBK, yep that is it. They must have lowered the price because it is 125. Are you still looking for a TG?
