84 Mistress Project
Hello all, I just purchased an 1984 Cigarette 35S Mistress that I will be restoring. I am located in Thailand (originally from California) and the boat will not arrive here for nearly 2 months. I am new to the whole boating thing, so I am sure I will be referring to all the experts on here for advise. So, thank you in advance.
The question I have is whether the Mistresses had the counter rotating engines, or just the drives were set up as counter rotating, with normal rotation engines?
Thank you,
Rosty

Normal rotation engines, drives do the direction change. Good luck with the project!

That boat was located a couple miles from me.i checked it out at one point. The exh is real low and it has a unique windshield. It is a pretty extensive project, best of luck!

Actually, I have seen several Mistresses with exhaust that low. I guess it goes into the water to keep the sound low. I assume the bend in the elbow is enough to keep the water from backing into the exhaust. Althoug some that I have seen had flappers on the pipes as well. It will be quite a project. Luckily, it is coming to Thailand, where labor is much cheaper. . If anybody else knows anything about this boat, I would love to hear it. Thanks
