LOL I think Barney Rubble starts drinking around 8 pm and the interweb muscles come out.
You should talk to your new admirer Kvoght about these awesome "you can`t break these" motors.
Struggling to hit 80 is right , more like 75mph thou.
Brand new rebuilds ...AFR`s in the 9s washing out cylinders, fouling plugs after 20 minutes, valve train wreck, wrong hardware, wrong plugs.. etc etc I`m not going to rehash it.. just makes me angry.
3 summers later 75-87mph with blow by choo choo motors a hook in the bottom and 75 HP robbing SSM drives is fine with me Barney.
Had a good time either way with these garbage motors.

Now they are fresh , I~m turning the boost down and going boating. Good luck with those 5 blades and your upper gears.
Hugs and kisses

Calm down chunk. Dont go slamming a half gallon of moose tracks and a box of ho ho's in an angry frenzy. It will be ok.
Lets get back to the stories of your new engines making so much power, your props slipped so bad you could only do 70 at 5000rpm with all that extra power

You might wanna ask Kvoght about the math.. the math that had me swapping drives and installing spacers all summer cause "you`ll never get on plane with a 4 blade" yeah that math.

Wow...... Where's the "Cigarette Brother from another Mother" loyalty? These are really cool boats, that are truly difficult to make fast. I gave up a few years ago. Mine is set up for the long distance cruise at 3000-3500. It runs 93-94 WFO , lot of trim, long low rooster tail. But I do not run it there, it cruises at 3500 61-62 mph, 62 if it's choppy. Negative trim, negative tab. After 70 the nose lays flat and trim can go neutral to positive. Most time, I'm at 2900-3000, because the other boats we run with have to run to hard to keep up. Remember I said long distance, 100 miles usually. We run destination trips, in the SALT, it takes me 2-3 hours to wash, dry, cover, and put it away each time, so it stays in for the weekend on a trip.......It's the journey, not the destination. I asked Mr Brooks to try the 5 blades, after watching his boat run 110 miles on a trip. The old cigs are a blast and a ego trip to run, just my opinion but more fun to cruise and not break, than run around WFO and wrench all the time....... Carry on Cig Brothers.

In all seriousness the old 32p props that came with the boat are labbed and paper thin. They didnt work anymore 5,000 rpm was 70. 4200 was 50 on the trip with ZP.
Anybody that thinks its a lie, put some money where your mouth is (we now you guys have a mouth, not sure about money). We will install them and go collect my money!!!

Went on the Jacksonville poker run today!! Boat worked flawless!! Not one problem!!
I didnt run it to top speed yet; but we hit 88mph @ 5200 and still had throttle left!! This was with full fuel 220 gallons, 3' long cooler loaded and 6 people on board!
Will post some pics later!
Fast Forward Power to the Front!!
