Default 1991 Top Gun Wiring question

Working behind dash on 91 Top Gun checking fuel guage with ohom meter. Must have shorted something, no power to stbd key or guages. Check master breaker and breaker on engine, all fuses below steering wheel. All good, is there another inline fuse leading to the key switch? Left ignition key has power but not right ignition key. What am I missing ?

i have seen the factory merc plug clamp too tight causing loss of power to key. if there is no problem there sounds like you have an open wire. a little nick in the wiring in a boat will make it turn green in a hurry.

Not positive on a top gun but my mistress had an orange wire feeding the terminal block from the cannon plug. Wire broke right the bend but did not break through the insulation, just swelled a little. No continuity around the bend

Kvogt tether or kill switch. Statement is a good place to start.

Add like Bullet sadi. Loosen the Cannon plug and give her a good figgle.

Run a jumper wire from the positive side of the coil to the positive side of the battery.... Zip tie the jumper wire to the fuel line so it doesnt get caught in the belts, and then jump the starter with a screw driver. It will run fine.......trust me.

LOL...sorry, couldnt resist! Disreguard this post.

Is there a inline fuse for the ingition system? Boat was running fine, guess I grounded between the ground and purple wire on back of fuel gauage, now no power from ignition. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Top Gun?
