Yes ( If )

Also if your raising the drives, Glassing the transom

Re-cutting All exhaust pipe and Transom assembly holes.

Raising all Engine mounts and re aligning all drive lines.

and then buy the spacers to play with drive height till its

perfected. I believe you will exceed $5,000 greatly.

But your end result would still be the Free Speed once there.

And then still probably Re-Prop too

Needs to be done anyway
Raising all Engine mounts and re aligning all drive lines.
Not a bad idea since the boat was rigged over 12 hard years ago

perfected. I believe you will exceed $5,000 greatly.

I see the valid point but can't see why everybody that takes there boat to fountain to have the engines practically on top of the hatch gets kudos and great idea but here it's leave it the phuck alone? If he said I'm shipping it to Phil to have all this done I bet the thread would be completely different.

Well... If he swaps the drives, blueprints the drives and bottom, raises the X 3 inches, gets good props, adds power, takes it Tres to fix the bottom, makes the drives dry-sump...

...and gets Philly to drive, he'll have a 135 mph boat. Look out Outerlimits guys!!! Good luck..Over and out

Agreed! That thing is perfect. I understand wanting to put your own stamp on it and making it your own. But it's perfect the way it is.

If your pulling the engines out and can do all the transom work yourself then it's only time..... Go for it!! I think everyone agreed it's not going to slow it down!

Basically they reprofile and thin the bullet and skeg. Less frontal area means less drag in the water.

I believe the engines need to come out anyway and the cost of this additional work will be minimal. It will be faster in calm water, there's no doubt in my mind about that.

The down side is it will be slower in anything over 1' conditions. Stability, planeing, and handling around the docks will be worse, not to mention the porpoising will probably be a little worse as well. It will have a better rooster-tail though, and that's priceless!

As I've said to Kevin before, everything is a trade-off... pick your poison.
