We have an 01 Top Gun TS and the vent on the rear of the hatch has some paint chips on the hinged part of the vent. I looked at another 01 Top Gun and the same thing is happening. When the vent opens and closes it rubs the paint off the hinge because it rubs on it. Anybody else have the same problem? If so what did you do about it?

I've thought about fabricating a piece of clear plastic or something to prevent this, but I have not gotten around to doing so as of yet.... I have already taken ours off once and had it repainted, but of course some idiot always has to see it and say "Hey what's this... as he flips it up too far and chips the paint!"
I guess I will just wait to the end of the season and have it repainted again...
One thing I did do though to prevent rattling is take these little rubber things... the things you put on the inside of cabinet doors and I put them on the underside to prevent rattling from the stereo. Worked like a charm..
Let me know if ya come up with anything...
