Cool. I'm going to shoot mine with ppg concept over epoxy primer. Black as well.
Probably going to add some gloss reducer to knock down the shine.
Thinking it will be easier to see any leaks without full gloss black paint.

I've got plenty of black concept of you want a pint or so to do yours man.

Well, I doubt I will either, but in the event I develop one, I'll know sooner than later.

I shot the inner transom and bellhousing black with a flattening agent (satin sheen) and it came out nice.

Yep, not going full flat. Just enough agent to dampen the super glossy look. Kind of looking for a "chassis black" look.

Alright, here goes. Are you nearly double of your initial $15k estimate. My pair came in at around $35k so I'm curious bud.

Nope, I have everything written on paper down to bypass valves, so far I spent 16,500 ish, on paper to complete minus dominators and intakes running what I have I need 6200.00 more in parts, gaskets and such... it's been planned on paper since day1 with just added cost of ditching Pro Comps and buying AFR heads in the end with all expenses even with intake and carb upgrade I figure 25-26,000.00 remember all assembly is done myself and my buddy Scott, so no assembly labor and thats easily 10,000 right there.

My figure also included exhaust, used SM. My assy cost was only 5K but that included all ARP hardware and super dampners and other incidentals. I didn't see where I spent any money unnecessarily. If you're in at $25k for 650 per side you've done well IMO.
