Duration is small for that motor.
Haven't seen cam specs like that on boat motors. From all stuff I've read it's either more lift on exhaust or same on both. With that small of duration I bet it does Peter out at 5100.
I'd bet you could do .663 .663 with 256 262 duration on 114 and it would come alive.

I used Bob Madera cam grind, he for sure isn't new to cam selection in boat engines... That's all I can say about that... Cams are like opinions we all have them, not saying you are right or wrong just saying bob is not new at boat cams...

How many guys are putting N/A 540's in a 11,500lb mistress? Kinda if oddball situation at the same time if you put these engines in a 353 formula I bet results would be much different.... As upset as I was last night the more you think and look at it all starts to make sense... Compare apples to apples and see what other mistress's do not many broke 70 mph as it is even with higher konrads and such still only go 72-73 from what I found.... I needed more low end grunt I think to push this boat to get to 5800-6000 range with these props and it's just not there at 5-5400 rpm ... I bet at that rpm I am at 600-620 hp max and the speeds are right on with that... I don't need a dyno to figure this out... GPS and rpm tell me everything I need to know

I see you have another thread going for the possibility of an ignition issue. Can you grab a small set of props and take it out to see if you climb over that 5200 RPM wall? That would rule that out. If it still drops off at 5200 then you may have another issue than the motors just making less power than expected. There is so much new in these engines you have a lot to verify before just throwing your hands up and saying they just don't make the power you hoped. Hell, make sure the throttles are opening all the way, you wouldn't be the first guy to have that happen. The devil is in the details, double check all of them again.
If you are correct and and they just aren't making the power you expected try having the props worked to reduce slip and bring your RPM up, you wouldn't give up your cruise speed that way.

With your cubes and AFR heads low end, mid range, and top end (upper 5k's) should work extremely well.
