Default Mistress repower #2 begins....

As most know I repowered the Mistress 2 years ago, bought a boat to get the engines and it turned out to be a nightmare.....

So.... today I ordered my NEW Dart blocks, and Eagle rotating assemblys for both, will be 540CI all machinework done at Victory Engines in Cleveland, great guys! they never let me down... ever...

I will post pics and info along the way, with the help of my best buddy Scott (Lake Effect) and guys like Joe (Mild Thunder) all issues will be addressed and hope to have new reliable 650-700 hp when I am done...

boat ran 73.4 with 600 hp and TRS so lets see what happens!!

well, from what I have figured so far...

blocks and rotating assembly's includes file fit rings, Clevite bearings, ARP2000 rod bolts 7600 for both

about 1000 each engine for machining and cleaning, setting clearances and all that...

I need to buy cams working on maybe a nice used set from Mild Thunders buddy ( nearly identical engines)

Morel lifters...550?? x2
oil pans 4-600. X2...
gaskets, oil and BS who knows 1000.00 for all that

heads were done last year, will most likely need better springs for new cams, so whatever springs are I can install them.

Honestly I figure 15,000.00 for both give or take, I would like to dyno them if I can also... so we will see...
