I have a hard time trying to understand the planning it take to do these paint schemes. I always sensed you're a detail orientated and this retrofit is special.

it is and thanks. I always try to build a better mousetrap, i do my best to plan everything out and have appropriate time frames, but more importantly i have all the needed parts and such before i take the boats to the guys doing the work, its not fair to hold them up while parts are shipping, i think im batting in the upper 80% of getting things done on budget. Ironically Ive already had people reach out to see if i want to sell it. for me its about maximizing performance and reliability in all of my toys.

I had my boat painted by Richy last year, and you can't say enough about the amount of clear coating he does. The sides are slick across all graphics and lines. I've followed this paint project on his FB page... looks great so far.

honestly, in the past 2 years with whipple upgrades, transom paint interior and etcs... im at 175k cash. I would tell everyone to sit and talk with their perspective vendors, be honest, realize all of them have to make a profit and you will be surprised how realistic the pricing can be. Every vendor i have dealt with knows that i say what I mean and wont BS them. they return with realistic numbers and top notch service and product. its not over the top, but it is a serious commitment to do it right. believe me, they all would rather deal with reality than someone trying to beat them up at every corner. I don't run my business that way, so no way in hell i would be like that as a client...
