I am running 17.5x34 with 18 deg rake Herings.
That is on the big side of things a 17x33 would work or close to it.
On thing I do know is that 18 deg rake is what is needed for the boat. I've tried 16 rake and it bows stears and nose dives off waves. Also tried 20 dog rake and the boat is fast, but a little squirly at higher speeds and did not ride as well.

What do you mean "on the big side of things" ?
With 17,5 x 34 do you get on plane easily? WOT and cruise speed?
Have you ever tried to see at which (lowest) speed the boat is held on plane with these props?

Boat gets on plane very easily. 2800 rpm and it comes right out. No slip unless it's rough.
Can cruise in the upper 60s at 4000 rpm. Have only ran it out a couple times since I got these props and seen 101-102. ( I have the whipple stage 2).
Boat stays on plane down to 30-35 mph.

What are you looking for?
Also these are the larger 26 spline SSM style props. If it's for your early model Top Gun you are probably running a round ear bravo style prop right?
