Default 33 Cafe Open

I understand Cigarette is discontinuing the 33 Cafe Open?
Does anyone know if they are planning any kind of replacement?
I believe there is definately a market for this kind of Cigarette!

I'm for turning the Gladiator hull or the 35 into a center concole. It should be available with inboard motors as well. The utility of this type of boat is very appealing. Little cabin to get out of the weather.
Finally, wild paint and trick it out with all the neat stuff Cigarette is famous for. They'd sell! I'd buy one.

Default I'm alos looking for this type of CC

I have started lookingat CC and would like to know more about the history of the Cafe Open hull design.

Mike,
I don't know much about Poerplay's, but I can tell you I have not been impressed with their ability to run well in rough water.

A couple of years ago I was running in a Pojer Run from Miami to Key West with a couple of 33 Poweplays with 750+ HP motors. My Playboy with 500 EFI's could take then when the water got rough.

Question Concept Boats

Has anyone looked into Concept's 33 CC. Layout is a lot like the Cafe Open?

Concept is a nice boat but it not the quailty you are used to with Cigarette.
They rattle and squeek, fit and finish just isn't there. Call Tres or Neil @ Cigarette and see what they plan to do as a replacement for the 33.
I think they feel the market isn't willing to pay their price for a center concole.

CK,
I think your right on your assement of CC and Cigarette. I have been talking to Tres about riggin me a CC if I can find the right hull. He did a cat hull wiht twin 300's and said it was real quick.
Whats the story on your TG?

Dave finished the paint earlier this week, I hear it's a real show stopper. It should be here next week, just in time for storage.
By-the-way Cigarette is using the 35 for a photo shoot.

CK,
Good luck with the boat and please post or send pictures! I have never seen a boat that Dave has painted tha did not look great!
I would leave the boat in Florida and try to get in a few poker runs over the winter. If you need anyone to help with fenders and lines let me know!

Look for an older 31 Center Console and put some new power on it for a fraction of the price.
