'81 Squadron XII
This is me as a young kid in the 6th grade (I am now 25), standing next to one of my favorite boats in the marina....little would I know I would own the thing today! Sometimes I still think I am dreaming, and I have to walk outside and go "holy sh!t"....
The boat is a 1981 Cigarette Squadron XII 39ft. It was powered with 509ci 725hp MRD motors with blowers, and speedmaster #3s... Today, she sits without power. But my main goal is going to be getting her back on the water. Motors and drives will happen, but not this season, or next. This will take a few years of hard work and dedication but sh!t, im looking forward to this
I'll most likely be making a thread to document my progress in the "Restorations and Upgrades" section, but here are a few photos...

Cool story, @ 25yo we are all so glad you didn't buy a wake board boat.

Congrats on the purchase.
Good to see younger people involved with classic offshore boats, take your time and get things right the first time. Might want to think about painting that trailer, some Cig guys might take offense to the 'grafitti'.

So tell us a bit more......when was the boat last intact and running? .......present state (to a certain degree) seems she was parted out of engines etc;... did she fall into disrepair well before you got her?
Love the running shot of her, when do you think it was taken?........."Love the Squadron X11 very capable ocean runner!".....Good luck and post up when the restoration begins!

What kind of power do you plan on putting in it?
