I don't know if you are following many of the other threads but KWright's thread covering the rebuild/rerigging of the 42 Fountain Poker run has detailed pics under the deck with the bulkheads (no cabin). Just putting it out there for nothing more than a possible different bulkhead design than what you were contemplating - post 376

i dont think it would be worth the time or money to do that. a short stagger was in some of the 41 apaches. as heavy as the earlier boats are i dont think that you will have an issue. besides of the 1000 you took out, youre going to add a few hundred back with the couches and such.

Sounds like that’s what a lot of guys are saying. Can’t wait to see how it runs know should be a much better ride with out that liner bouncing around down there

if you go stagger, I assume your going with a driveshaft, seems you will need a drive line input flange in the transom assembly as well as a different tail housing on the transmission with an output flange, with that being said and if true it would seem not worth the change
