Thanks and I appreciate everyone’s input!!! Not sure what direction to go but I’ll figure out in time I’ll have to keep researching. In the mean time I have a ton of grinding to do. Working on getting cabin all ready to glass up and replace all the stringers. Thanks again for all your input and keep it coming !!! Does anyone here have 8-71 on 575 with stock heads and stock injection with dyno numbers ??

Cost: I don't keep track on most stuff on the boat because it will bum me out, but it was more than 12k but no way was it 20k. I went with a custom setup using the Holley Dominator ecu.
12 injectors. 8 at low rpm and then the other 4 come on.
Sequential fuel strategy so There is some adjustment of fuel distribution.
Crank trigger.
Dual O2 closed loop.
custom injector block placing the injectors at a 30 degree down angle.
2100 cfm each throttle bodies from Accufab.
individual coils.

When I put the Holley efi on in 2013, the main reason for going that route was to learn efi. I didn't really care about the cost. Now I figured out it pays for itself both in fuel and rebuild costs. I've also come to the conclusion that idling big blower motors with carbs is about the worst thing you can do to them.

I completely understand. I love learning new things. And not afraid to take on the uncertainty I mean heck I cut the hole boat apart lol just going to have to keep pricing stuff.

Did you examine the hull using a moisture meter to find the transom and stringer rot ? Or did you find it during disassembly ? Ed
