All - has anyone watched "Boat, Work, Play" on You Tube. A couple of guys on Long Island restoring some kind of oddball Cigarette; a three engine model but not a Tiger or anything familiar to me. Fun to watch, no professionals,, but for the most part the work is getting done and they are having some fun doing it. Worth a look, and no I have nothing to do with it other than watching.

I’ve seen it and watched for a while. Fun to watch. FPC 1080HP project is my favorite. I made a play list in order. He goes through with a complete rebuild of a Top Gun and shows what places he uses. At the end he says something to the effect of, I could’ve given Skip Braver $500,000, but I did this rebuild for about $200,000. It’s a beautiful boat when completed, but I’d love to know the break down of all the pricing and costs. It seems to clearly have sponsors. So, is that with or without their help. It looked like he had the Top Gun prior to the build. Did the cost include the boat. If anyone knows, I’d appreciate any information just to get an idea of the costs. I’m pretty sure the engines alone were $46K each. I think they end up with a really nice boat.

I also liked watching the Project 1080 videos, although it was too bad there were not more videos and better detail about what was being done and how. The Boat Work Play videos are different, no professionals and it looks like long time friends are doing the work and figuring things out as they go. I am looking forward to the transom being finished up , the engines going in and seeing how the boat runs.
BTW - what model is that that they are working on.

Thanks... I think there was a post here about making a Revolution into a center console. Although I may be mistaken. Is the hull a Tiger hull?

Revolution was the pre curser to the evolution (4 or 5 flat deck revolutions built) that then turned into the tiger (same hull different deck) which then Turned into the twin step tiger (different hull same deck , which then turned into the 42x (new hull and deck).

I started watching it this week, pretty funny and sad at the same time, looks like they have heart but zero knowledge, love the $75k budget, ( i laughed at that one)
one of the last ones with guy and his hot wife sanding the fiberglass with zero protection was disheartening
hope they finish it and use it and enjoy the rebuild,.

I have watched the videos. The think it is a Revolution also. They have taken on a large project. The most recent video where their painting the drives, I was thinking to myself....how much overspray got on the boat?
