No they were not selling enough Mystiques to make sense. They haven't built Bullets for years. The Bullet molds are going to be crushed along with the other old molds when they move to the new factory in June. They still have the molds to build a Mystique though. You know just a little bling bling $$$$!

Ok, so how many of you have ridden, or better yet, driven a Mystique? Did they have handling issues at speed? ("at speed" meaning over 80). Did they just not sell due to cost?
In other words, what's wrong with the Mystique that it is not offered anymore?
Anyone?
private e-mail works also.

Gordo,
Have a friend that had a 2000 (I think) non stepped Mistique. It had a VERY BAD porposing problem at crusing speed. He constantly had to drag the LARGE K planes to compensate for it. From what I understand this is not the case with the stepped models. He refered to the Mistuque as the "mistake". It would run right at 80mph gps in fresh water, approx 720' above sea level.
Hope this helps.

The convertional bottom Mystiques needed a little tab to keep them ridin flat. The Twin Step has zero handling problems and is a night and day difference to the conventional bottom. They didn't sell due to cost and demand. There isn't much demand for 30ft Cigarettes. Most usually wanted to step up to the 35 or 38 if they were going to buy a Cig. They are awesome boats as you would expect, but people in the market for a new 30 ft boat didn't usually want to spend that much for a new one. Now though you can make great deal on a used one. The baddest one is the one at Lip-Ship. I have driven the one in Oklahoma a couple of times when it was brand new. Nice boat, 75mph on GPS.
The same went for the 20ft "Son of a Gun." Who is in the market for a $100,000 ski boat???

Is this the one you guys are talking about in Oklahoma? http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/8/4/33807384.htm
If so, I've had my eye on this boat for a LONG time. Maybe I'm just wierd, but I love the graphics on it.
How can I tell if is stepped or not. (I know, look at it!) Is there a year model to go by or something?
