38 Cig. Hull/Cabin Options Explained?
Hello All,
I am interested in learning about the different cabin/ hull options available on the 38 2001 to 2004 Cigarette models.
I own a 31 Sonic and thinking about the next boat.
A possible "crossover" as someone posted on here a while back!
Seeking help with.........
What models are/were available for the 38 explained with names?
What hulls are/were available for each model year? 38ft.
What cabins are/were available? 38ft.
Explain full, half, covergirl cabins and any others I missed?
I am trying to understand the options available and how hull selection affected the cabin(s) options available.
I apprecaite your help! Regards.... Jeff Harper AKA: Harpoon

We have a 2001 TS Top Gun with an extended Cover Girl cabin. The extended version has a berth (sp) in front of the benches that you can sleep on.
I don't think you can get a TS model with a full cabin. I have seen the extended Cover Girl and the regular Cover Girl models.

To the best of my very limited knowledge they started doing these cabins a few years before the steps came for Top Guns I would say 1998 or 1999.
I heard from knowledgeable people that the change in center of gravity the little weight an extended cabin adds slows a tiger by 1 to 2 Mph and that with twin steps rigs the CG is even more critical and is also very susceptible to affect performance.

The extended is a trampoline deck covered with a cushion from the first bulckhead to the second heading forward here is a picture of our cabine passed the sign. We have a Tiger with a Covergirl. I have been quoted $2000 to get an extended done. I decided to spend this summer with it to see if I need more space we only use the cabine to sleep and not for spending time at all and when you remove the backrest you see in the pictures above they fit well in the middle to form a berth that is straight across. I like sleeping in this section with the hatch right above me anyway.

Did they sand all the internal surfaces up there?
I assume they are relieving sharp points where stress cracks can start.
What a difference from my current boat's manufacturer
