Curt:

Unfortunately, I measured my props last night and the diameter has been cut down to 17"

I still intend to pull out the spacers, but may need larger props. Interested in selling your 17 1/2 diameter?

Steve,

Props were a buddies that he wasn't using last summer as he was rigging his boat. He is using them now.

What pitch prop are you running?

Matt at Throttle Up or Marc at BAM are always helpful and usually have a good selection. A bigger diameter should help with the porpoising problem.

Spin those blowers faster and the last thing you will be worring about is porpoising

Red Thunder:

Quit whinin' sunny, oh that was my two blowers cat fighting back there...sorry!

Keeping her sweet and mild this summer, nearly 1000HP with only 5 pounds of boost X 2 = 38 Top Gun running in the 90's.....not bad at all.

Wouldn't want to have to get towed in, especially with the wife on board the new boat!!!

Ha...you asked for that salt in your wounds.

If another Gun happens to come past me....I got plenty of room for improvement. Man it is really good to be blown again...you should try it some time....in the boat that is!!!!

Does anyone know why my post got deleted that had the part # of the 1/2 shim ?

Steve, after we talked today about the height of my drives I don't think it's going to help. Staggered 5's on boxes. Two complete different animals. I laid a straight edge on the notch and the cavitation plate on the drive was perfectly level. Then went in front of the notch on the hull and the needle is 1 1/2" above the straight edge. We also talked about the set back with the boxes verses the prop location of the #6's and from the corner of the transom and notch to the front of the prop hub is 45 1/4" . The camera angle is a little deceiving. Hope this isn't to confusing. Doug

I guess I better be nice, after all, I'am staying with you July 4th. Hey at least I didn't run out of gas this time. I did sign up with Sea Tow 4 hours early. Best $119 I've spent.

Purchased some one inch spacers from another OSO member, will post results in a few weeks.

Primal, I think props are stamped 32 Pitch....but that means nothing on a used boat.
Thanks for all the help.

Doug, can't wait to run the Tickfaw 200 with you all in the new Gun...see ya in a week.

Red Thunder, I hope that's the last time you need their services. Keep some Taco Bell on the boat so you don't ever run out of gas.
